So, I've been pretty quiet around here.
Been rather busy on this side of the world. Between working on Devil's Own Luck (yes, despite the lack of update in word count, that's still the forerunner) and going back and forth between doctors and specialists and dentists and soon an oral surgeon, it's been hectic.
Don't worry! My health (and teeth) has a tendency to be frustrating and oft confusing for all involved, I feel there is an end to this saga. We shall see, but I'm really rather hopeful.
Also, I've been a bit busy with my fiance. As is only expected.
I'll try and do a bit more soon-like, but no promises. However, dA has not been

It's funny. I've only ever really had one heirloom in my family: my grandmother's ruby ring, that was given to her by her mother. My own mother wore it for as long as I could remember, and it was always supposed to be mine. (I am, after all, the last of the family line and once again, it was the only heirloom we had. Not that I was complaining. I like rubies, and it wasn't really that feminine.)
When it finally was handed down to me when I was 17, I wore it and never took it off. Once more, it wasn't that feminine, and... well. To be honest, I sort of have tiny hands. So I saw no reason not to.
Somewhere in my mind, it was the symbol
